AudaciousĪudacious is an open-source media player that’s widely popular among audiophiles. Installing Rhythmbox in Ubuntu: sudo apt install rhythmbox 4. It also comes with options to play online radio and podcasts easily. The browse option reveals the artists and album tab under which songs are categorized. Using the import option, you can add files to the playlist. The songs and playlists are loaded in the main area on the right. The main window of the Rhythmbox Linux music player is divided into two parts. If all you need is a basic music player, you can stick with Rhythmbox. Under the song and artist info tabs at the left, you can easily get lyrics of the song, read about the song from last.fm, and know about artist details. Maybe you could give it a try to the debian packages for version 1.3.You can also edit the metadata of a song easily from the main window itself. Menu has much more options for files in local computer (which is normal, after all). Take a look at the attached screenshots I've made the first one is for a local computer file, the second capture is for songs from Jamendo. If the songs in your playlist are from internet sources (from Jamendo, for instance), indeed that option is not present in this menu (and it's OK this way, since the song is located somewhere in the internet, and you can't possible modify it, right ?) Provided, of course, you are right-click-ing on songs from local computer. Look a little more careful, you'll see it. you should definitely have the "Edit track information" in the menu when you the right-click on any song in the list ! I used it intensively since first Clementine version I used (1.1.1). in the older 1.2.3 version you do not have the option to embed/edit lyrics for the song.īut.
